Community and volunteers flip for annual pancake breakfast
The
Kiwanis Breakfast Club of Seminole will hold its 31st annual Pancake
Day on Saturday, March 10th, from 7 a.m. to 11 during the City of Seminole’s 44th annual Pow Wow Festival. Since the group started the pancake tradition, approximately 27,000 pancakes have been served.
Breakfast
will include all the delicious pancakes you can eat, a choice of
toppings, sausage and beverage (fresh orange juice, coffee, or milk). Guests will enjoy relaxing, beautiful harp music performed on stage while they dine. Free books for all ages will be distributed.
This fundraiser will be held in the auditorium at the Seminole Recreation Center located at 9100 113th Street North, Seminole. Tickets for the breakfast are $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children 5 to 10 years old. Children four and under eat for free. Tickets can be purchased at First Home Bank in Seminole by contacting Charlene Jasmin (727) 399-5602, or at the door.
Parking for the event is free and available at the adjacent St. Petersburg College and Seminole library. A golf cart shuttle service to the main entrance will be provided (donations welcomed). One hundred percent of the proceeds raised from the event will be used to help support the Kiwanis Breakfast Club’s Just One Book and Reading is Fun-damental programs and its many other community service projects through its 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation. According
to David Green, Kiwanis Pancake Chairman, “We could not provide the
reading program and the host of other projects in the community without
the support of our sponsors. They along with the community
who attend the annual event are making a huge difference in the lives
of children and the families we serve.” The Kiwanis sincerely thanks its Gold Level corporate sponsors First Home Bank, Fairway Golf Carts, LLC, Mamas Kitchen, McDonald's and Harvest Meat Company, Inc.
